I gave myself a goal, 30 consecutive days of yoga... today is day 1,000. I've wrote about this journey on day 400, the pause 5 days into the original 30 day goal with the big bad break, coming back to the mat, practicing through the not so bad broken foot a year later, and all things that yoga carried me through that year.
Today I hit another milestone. A big one. And, it feels more important to share after the last 6 months. As we've all be home, more and more people have found their way to at home yoga, it has been exciting for me to follow their questions and followup posts on social media and to attempt to add to the conversation from my experience.
It's also the only thing that has remained constant and has not changed for me since before March 13th. While everything else about my day to day has changed, work from home, school from home, holidays at home, yoga at home is the same. It starts my day off and sets me up for the day. It keeps my body moving and helps me focus each morning. If I'm lucky, I'm alone on the mat; in reality I share my mat with a 5 year old and 2 sweet, curious cats.
The goal was 30 days, Today was day 1,000. At this point my only plan is to keep going, we'll see where it takes me.
